Mzansi spoke and president Ramaphosa obliged, as we all now that the president had announced earlier today that he will be addressing the nation at 7pm. It seems the time slot clashed as it was announced a few days ago that Isixhosa news reader Noxolo will be reading her final bulletin on SABC as she retires after 37 years in the industry.
The president decided to respect the people’s wishes as he was asked to move the family meeting to 7:30pm as the public wanted to watch the veteran news reader for the final time, her final bullet left Mzansi overwhelmed as they were really touched and showed a lot of appreciation to Ms Grootboom.
The isixhosa news reader was left in disbilief after it was announced that the president had moved his nation adress to 7:30 pm so that the nation can get to watch Noxolo for the last time and pour their tributes to her. She really deserved all the attention and love she got to night as she has done a lot for the SABC news for more than three decades, she really deserved a heartwarming send off.
President @CyrilRamaphosa will address the nation at 19h30 today, to allow SABC viewers to watch veteran newsreader #NoxoloGrootboom’s final bulletin as she retires after 37 years. https://t.co/oH8AY5Yznx
