The popular prophet Bushiri and wife Mary have been on everyone’s mind not just in South Africa one might even go to assume that people in Africa and abroad because he is a very famous prophet. Bushiri is the first pastor to fill up the FNB stadium with 90000 people. The famous pastor has recently fallen on bad times as he, his wife Mary and others have been accused of fraud, theft and money laundering in connection to an alleged investment scheme of over R100million. A week after they were granted bail amounting to R200000 each the couple fled into Bushiri’s native home country Malawi.
However Interpol issued and arrest warrant for them after breaking their bail conditions and fleeing to Malawi which lead to their apprehension on Wednesday but were released on Thursday by judge Viva Nhima who presides over the Lilongwe magistrate court in the country’s capital. Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary have been released from the Malawian prison. The pair were “released unconditionally” even though the state was arguing that they be remanded in prison till they are extradited to SA.
Shephered Bushiri moved to SA in 2013 and over the years he has gained a huge following and people come to his church from all over to seek his prophecies. He established himself in South Africa where he made his millions selling his church products such as anointing oil and belts and stickers and people giving him tokens of appreciation after giving them a prophecy.
The very rich prophet has a mansion in Midstream Estate in Centurion worth R5.5m and owns a fleet of many lavish cars and has many houses across SA he bought himself and his family a private jet and it is said he bought his 3 year old a R3million Maserati.
All of his riches he acquired them in South Africa which now begs the question was it all done legally or there are many more skeletons in the closet.
