Gavin Hunt promise to take Khama Billiat back to his glorious days. New Kaizer Chief’s head coach Gavin Hunt has promised to take the Zimbabwen born player back to his glorious days. Gavin said if he manages to do that it means Khama is going to be a double figure goalscorer in the Premier soccer League (PSL).
Khama’s performance last seen was not up to standard that resulted in him receiving a lot of backlash. He only managed to score two goals and it has been rumoured that he was not in good books with the former head coach Ernst Middendorp.
On Thursday while speaking during a media conference Gavin Hunt said “I’ve got huge expectations. I know him from Zimbabwe to Ajax [Cape Town]‚”
“Yes‚ he’s older‚ but he should be more experienced now‚ he’s a bit wiser. I think the most important thing we have got to do is get him playing to his strengths.
“I don’t want to know what’s gone on here before. It’s got nothing to do with me. I just want to see what’s in front of me and hopefully we can get him … he’s certainly a double figures goalscorer in the league‚ and that’s got to be the first aim.”
Before Gavin Hunt came to Kaizer Chief’s the team was being coached by the German Coach Middendorp. Midderndorp managed to lead Amakhosi to the second place in the last season premiership. Kaizer Chief’s were not pleased with this development and decided to let go of the coach. At the same time Hunt was also available after his club Bidvest Wits was sold and he became the best choice for Kaizer Chief’s.
