George Maluleka urged to go back to Kaizer Chiefs because of this reason. When George Malukeka made his debut in the domestic league a lot of expectations were raised, but how his career progressed since leaving Ajax Cape Town FC has received mixed reviews.

George Malukeka also known as Mido among his faithful is now 33 years old and approaching the end of his peak. The player rose as a prodigy at the Cape Town based team before signing to Kaizer Chiefs after some great performances in that youthful team which comprised the likes of Doutie, Billiat and Serero, among others.

At Chiefs he had quite a good outing before switching allegiance to join Mamelodi Sundowns in 2019. Since his departure, Kaizer Chiefs haven’t really had a natural replacement to fill the hole that he left. It seemed he had found the greener pastures he was looking for, but the player went on to feature just 13 times at Sundowns since he signed for them. Talks of his limited playing opportunities then started and the situation might even get worse.

Rumour has it that Maluleka may be loaned out for the rest of the current season and hie potential suitors are said to the Orlando Pirates. Even a return to Naturena can also not be ruled out as advised by Jabulani Mendu, former Sundowns player. He has however singled Pirates to be a much better fit for him, though Chiefs is also another good option to consider.

Mendu also referenced that Chiefs have not yet identified the right talent to replace Maluleka, hence he believes getting him back may also work for their favour.
