Here is how much Shepherd Bushiri earns in a month. The trial of Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church leader Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has exposed the lavish life that the Bushiri’s have been living. It is through this trial that we got to know that the self proclaimed pastor earns more than R500 000 per month. To be exact Bushiri earns a whopping R566 000 per month, , on the other hand his wife Mary Bushiri earns R221,000 a month from “entities”.

These shocking figures were revealed during a bail application by Bushiri, his wife Mary and Landiwe Ntlokwana at the Pretoria magistrate’s court on Wednesday.

The three are being charged with multiple charges which include theft, money laundering and fraud. Mary was taken into custody by the Hawks on Tuesday morning. Bushiri then went on to hand himself in to the authorities following his wife’s arrest. The Bushiris together with Ntlokwana were arrested for their alleged involvement in fraud and money laundering involving R102m.

In their affidavits, the Bushiris stipulated that Shepherd Bushiri earns R566,000 a month while his wife earns R221,000 a month from “entities”. However, Bushiri made sure to specify that he did not understand the charges brought against him as it was not certain to him how and why he is being included in the case.

Ntlokwana also attends Bushiri’s Enlightened Christian Gathering church and works there as a financial consultant in her attempt to get bail she said the court should grant her bail because she lives with her pensioner mother who, together with her siblings, depend on her.

All three are expected to reappear before the Pretoria magistrate’s court on Friday for further argument in the bail application.
