Mzansi fumes that the national address was a waste of time. On Monday evening President Cyril Ramaphosa made his much anticipated national address. However it was not as what many people expected and as always people took to twitter to air out their frustration.

On his address on Monday the president announced that the country will still remain on level 3 lockdown. However there were some slight changes on some restrictions. He said the curfew time will now be between 9pm and 5am. The president also cautioned people about how attending funerals is also contributing to the spread of the virus.
He said: “Providing a fitting send-off for a departed loved one is deeply ingrained in all of us. There are certain rituals that we perform in line with our respective cultures and traditions; not just at the funeral itself but in the days leading up to the burial. But these are all things we simply cannot do at this time.”

The president also announced that the country is going to close it’s boarders including the 6 most used ones due to the congestion being witnessed at the border post. Many people found the President national address monotonous and boring as they felt like it’s just a repetition of what he said last time. Many beer lovers were not happy about the ban on alcohol as it still going to remain in place.
