National address from the President set for Monday 1 February. It has been confirmed that President Cyril Ramaphosa is going to make a national address tonight at 8pm. His national address is going to be centred on the developments pertaining the countries response to covid-19 since level 3 lockdown was enforced for the second time. The national address comes after numerous meetings of the National Coronavirus Command council (NCCC), the president’s coordinating Council (PCC) and cabinet.

As of now the countrry has recorded about 1,453,761 case’s. It has been reported that the country is expecting it’s first batch of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine on 1 February. Even though this is something to be excited about , it has been reported that the vaccine rollout will not significantly shield us from winter wave .
