President Cyril Ramaphosa set to make a national address tonight (28 December 2020).

President Cyril Ramaphosa set to make a national address tonight (28 December 2020). At the moment the country is battling with the second wave of the covid-19 virus. Covid-19 recorded cases are skyrocketing everyday as a result hospitals and health care stuff are under immense strain.

Due to this alarming spike in covid-19 cases there will be a national address from the president on Monday 28 at around 8pm. The president will speak on “on developments in relation to the country’s response to the coronavirus pandemic”, the presidency said in a statement just before 6pm on Monday.

This announcement was made after the National Coronavirus command council (NCCC) had a meeting on Sunday and the cabinet had their own meeting on Monday.
