SA back to level 3 lockdown with immediate effect. President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the nation on Monday 28 December at 8pm. In his national address he announced that the country is with immediate effect moving from level 1 to level 3 lockdown. The president made this decision on the recommendation made by the national Coronavirus command council as well as after consulting with provinces and metro mayor’s.
The lockdown was bound to happen as over a million people have tested positive for covid-19. Due to this alarming rate the president was consulting with the national Coronavirus command council in the last two days
