Shocker KZN Floods leave 200 People homeless Overnight. KwaZulu Natal continues to be hit by heavy floods as they experience more heavy rainfall between Friday evening and Sunday morning. Has the rains continued over 200 residents had to be evacuated from their homes as the floods destroyed property.
MEC for co-usable administration and conventional issues Sipho Hlomuka giving an update on the heavy rains said,

We are yet to get a full extensive report on the effect of these most recent weighty downpours, yet as reports arrive in a stressing picture is anyway arising,” Hlomuka said.
The MEC said the tempest, as per the SA Weather Service (SAWS) expectation, was yesterday to climb the coast, influencing the northern areas of King Cetshwayo and Mkhanyakude. Hlomuka said the region got level 10 early ready admonitions from the weather conditions administration about troublesome precipitation anticipated for the Hluhluwe, eThekwini, Jozini, KwaDukuza, Mandeni, Maphumulo, Mkhambathini, Mthonjaneni, Mtubatuba, Ndwedwe, Nongoma, Ulundi, Umdoni, Umhlabuyalingana, uMhlathuze, uMlalazi and uPhongolo civil regions.
He noted that the heavy flooding has brought about flooding of streets and human settlements, and harmed properties, with a few streets around Pinetown and encompassing regions briefly shut because of flooding.
