Zandile Mafe drops a bombshell in the court if he doesn’t get bail. The court case pertaining a parliamentary building in Cape Town that was set on fire is still ongoing and new details are still emerging.
Arrested initially for this arson case is a homeless man by the name Zandile Mafe and he has since been attempting to get bail. In view of all that was to happen to him, Mafe has now come up with a bold statement of his own if his request is denied.
In the same case, Zandile Mafe’s charges have been taken a step-up as he is now under a terrorism offence. It’s now a schedule 6 offence which on many cases before doesn’t warrant a bail. Should this be the case for the 49 year old Mafe who stays in Khayelitsha, he plans to undergo a hunger strike.
His case has been met with different comments and ideas from South Africans who are awaiting to hear what the court will decide. Let’s note that the bracket of all terrorist-related crimes are highly punishable offences by nature and it’s not going to be easy for Mafe.
