Family, friends, colleagues and admirers gathered at the South African State Theatre in Pretoria on Thursday to pay tribute to legendary South African actor Seputla Sebogodi, whose remarkable contribution to the country’s entertainment industry touched generations of viewers.
The memorial service celebrated the life and legacy of the award-winning actor, who passed away on Tuesday, 15 July 2026, at the age of 63. His family confirmed that he died following complications related to diabetes, bringing an end to a career that spanned decades and earned him widespread admiration across South Africa.
