Rising AmaPiano stars Thatohatsi and Tracy Vocals were recently involved in a car accident, sparking concern among fans across South Africa. The incident was officially confirmed by their management in a statement released on Saturday, 4 April 2026.
According to the statement, the two musicians were not alone at the time of the accident. They were travelling with members of their road team, including their driver, Thabiso, DJ Seun1401, and road manager Senzo. While details surrounding the cause of the accident remain limited, management assured the public that the situation, although frightening, did not result in any fatalities.

“We confirm that Thatohatsi and Tracy were involved in a motor vehicle accident earlier today alongside members of their road team,” the statement read. “We are relieved to share that all individuals are currently in stable condition and receiving the necessary medical attention.”
Emergency services responded quickly to the scene, and management expressed gratitude for their swift action, which played a crucial role in ensuring everyone involved received immediate care. The team also thanked supporters and well-wishers for their concern during this difficult time.
Thatohatsi, whose real name is Thatohatsi Raphadi, has been making waves in the AmaPiano industry. Hailing from Payneville in Springs, Gauteng, she is known for her unique, soulful voice that blends elements of church music with the popular piano sound. Her breakthrough hit “Xolele” introduced her to a wider audience, and she has continued to grow her fanbase with her powerful vocal presence.

Her career reached new heights after she became the most featured artist on Kabza De Small’s 2025 album *Bab’Motha*. This achievement helped cement her reputation as one of the most promising young vocalists in the genre.
Tracy Vocals, born Lethiwe Tracy Sibiya, is also a respected name in the AmaPiano scene. Coming from Soweto, she has built a strong reputation through her distinctive voice and consistent collaborations with some of the genre’s top producers. She has worked alongside well-known names such as DJ Stokie, Kelvin Momo, and MDU aka TRP, contributing to the evolving “private school piano” sound that continues to gain popularity.
Despite the scare, management emphasized that the primary focus remains on the health and recovery of everyone involved. “At this stage, our priority is their health and recovery. We kindly ask for privacy for Thatohatsi, Tracy, and the entire team as they rest and receive care,” the statement added.
They also reassured fans that updates will be shared when appropriate, once there is more clarity on their condition and recovery progress.
Following the news, fans took to social media platforms to express their relief and send messages of support. Many wished the artists and their team a speedy recovery, highlighting the strong connection both singers have built with their supporters.
While the accident has temporarily halted their activities, there is hope that both Thatohatsi and Tracy Vocals will soon return to doing what they love—creating music and entertaining audiences across the country.
