The football world has been plunged into mourning following the death of Tendai Ndoro, the former Orlando Pirates and Zimbabwe international striker, who passed away at the age of 40 after a prolonged battle with illness.

Found at His Apartment
According to close sources, Ndoro was discovered lifeless in his South African apartment. Former Zimbabwe international midfielder Edelbert Dinha, who also played for Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town, was among the first to arrive at the scene.
“It’s very sad, and I’m not feeling well at all right now,” said a heartbroken Dinha. “We rushed here after hearing about his passing this afternoon. Sadly, it seems he had been gone for about three days before we found him. Some of his relatives are here, and Peter Ndlovu is also present, which shows the unity in our football family during this painful time.”
Although the exact cause of his death has not yet been officially confirmed, it has been reported that Ndoro had been living alone at the time.

Born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Ndoro first caught attention with Chicken Inn in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League, where his sharp eye for goal made him a standout performer. His prolific scoring soon earned him a move to South Africa, where he joined Mpumalanga Black Aces.
His biggest breakthrough came in 2015 when he signed for Orlando Pirates. He went on to deliver some unforgettable performances in the famous black-and-white jersey of the Buccaneers.
After his successful stint in Soweto, Ndoro tried his luck abroad with Saudi Arabian side Al-Faisaly, before later returning to South Africa to play for Ajax Cape Town and Highlands Park.
