Police are investigating a shocking shooting incident that left four men dead and one injured in Lenasia South on Wednesday. The case involves multiple counts of murder and attempted murder, with authorities working to determine the motive behind the attack.
Gruesome Discovery at the Scene
According to Gauteng police spokesperson Capt. Tintswalo Sibeko, officers responded to reports of gunfire along the K43 road. Upon arrival, they found three vehicles riddled with bullet holes and four men fatally shot. The victims were discovered at the scene, highlighting the brutal nature of the attack.
Suspect Found Hiding in a Toilet
During their search, officers located a fifth man who had sustained gunshot wounds. He was found hiding in a toilet, raising suspicions about his involvement in the shooting. Upon searching him, police discovered an unlicensed firearm with its serial number filed off.
“The suspect was arrested for possession of an illegal firearm and is currently receiving medical treatment under police guard,” said Sibeko.
Gun Found in Deceased Victim’s Hand
One of the deceased individuals was discovered lying in a trench, clutching a firearm. This finding has added to the mystery surrounding the incident, as investigators attempt to piece together what led to the deadly confrontation.

At this stage, the motive for the shooting remains unclear, and police are urging the public to come forward with any relevant information.
