Renowned traditional healer and reality TV star Gogo Maweni has shared exciting news with her fans — she and her husband, Sabelo Mgube, have welcomed twin daughters into their growing family. The couple revealed the joyful update through an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday, 29 July 2025, accompanied by adorable photos and videos from the delivery room.
“10 days ago, our love as well as our bond got a whole lot stronger,” Maweni captioned the post, confirming that the twins were actually born on Saturday, 19 July 2025. The announcement took fans by surprise as the couple had chosen to keep the pregnancy a secret, only revealing it after the birth of their daughters.
Maweni also disclosed that the twins were conceived through IVF (in vitro fertilisation), a process they opted for privately. Despite their initial plans to keep things under wraps, the pregnancy became public knowledge following Maweni’s arrest earlier this year. In an interview with TshisaLIVE, she explained: “Honestly, I wanted to keep the pregnancy a secret, but unfortunately, I got arrested, and it came out that I was pregnant.” Her assault trial was subsequently postponed to 15 October 2025 to allow her time to give birth and recover.
The new arrivals are Maweni and Mgube’s first children together as a married couple. Maweni is already a mother to three boys from previous relationships. Her first son’s father remains unidentified, her second child was fathered by former The Queen actor Sthembiso “SK” Khoza, and her third child is shared with former Mamelodi Sundowns soccer player Siyabonga Zulu.
