Armed Robbers Hijack Taxi Boss’s Vehicle, Steal R600,000, and Go on Booze Shopping Spree
In a brazen incident in Vosloorus, a group of armed suspects hijacked a vehicle belonging to a taxi boss and forced him to hand over his bank cards, resulting in R600,000 being transferred to their accounts.
The criminals then embarked on a lavish spending spree, purchasing expensive alcohol at various locations in the area, unaware that their victim was a prominent taxi operator.

The taxi boss, however, sought assistance from his colleagues, and together they managed to trace the identity of one of the suspects’ friends, leading them to the residence of the alleged culprit, Ronnie.
Armed with guns, the taxi operators confronted Ronnie’s wife and children, demanding that they call their father and instruct him to return the stolen vehicle and R600,000.
Ronnie, realizing the gravity of the situation, has since gone into hiding, with the taxi operators hot on his heels, determined to recover their stolen property and money.
