A community in Sibasa, Limpopo, is reeling in disbelief and heartbreak after a trusted local pastor was arrested for allegedly assaulting a young woman inside his church — a place meant to offer hope, healing, and sanctuary.
The disturbing incident reportedly took place on July 9, 2025, when 40-year-old Sikhubu Phathutshedzo Innocent, popularly known as Pastor Muritho, allegedly lured the young woman to the church building under false pretenses. According to sources close to the investigation, the pastor allegedly locked the church doors behind her and committed the unthinkable.
