Thobile “MaKhumalo” Mseleku, one of the stars of the popular reality show *Uthando Nes’thembu*, has recently found herself in the center of public attention—not for controversy she caused, but rather for criticism she received from her own husband. During a recent episode aired on May 1, 2025, her husband, Musa Mseleku, sparked a backlash when he labeled her a “failure” during a diary session on the show.

The harsh comment ignited an outpouring of support for MaKhumalo across social media platforms. Viewers and fans of the show quickly came to her defense, rejecting Musa’s claims and celebrating MaKhumalo’s many achievements. Under the hashtag #UthandoNesithembu, users highlighted her impressive resume and contributions, countering Musa’s statement with facts.

One X (formerly Twitter) user, @msngangqu, posted a list of MaKhumalo’s professional accomplishments to dispute her husband’s remarks. According to the post, MaKhumalo is not only a reality TV personality but also a producer, radio presenter at Vuma FM, motivational speaker, and MC. Her qualifications include a background in finance management, and she once held the position of Finance Manager at a mining company. Additionally, she has worked as a brand ambassador for major companies such as Miladys, Omoda, Westpack Lifestyle, and Samsung Mobile.

Despite her accolades, the debate on social media was divided. Some users questioned whether MaKhumalo’s fame and career success would have materialized without the exposure provided by *Uthando Nes’thembu* and her marriage to Musa Mseleku. Others argued that her journey reflects dedication and independence, noting that she built her brand despite being in a polygamous marriage.

Among the comments, @andymvelase expressed skepticism, suggesting that MaKhumalo’s achievements are largely due to her association with the show and her husband. In contrast, @NgcweleMju and @LMngomezul shared heartfelt support, with the latter writing, “I’m proud of her. MaKhumalo is the most influential woman. May all the happiness locate her.”

Meanwhile, some fans pointed out that MaKhumalo’s influence in the show dates back to its early seasons. @*Siyamuthanda* noted that the entire concept of the show was initially inspired by her, based on a program she was already part of before joining the reality series.

Adding further intrigue, MaKhumalo recently made headlines after seemingly removing the Mseleku surname from her Instagram profile. This small but symbolic act has fueled speculation about her current stance on the marriage and her role in the polygamous family structure. Although she has previously described marrying Musa as one of her best decisions, this recent change hints at possible tension.

In the end, regardless of the source of her fame, MaKhumalo’s impact is undeniable. Fans continue to stand by her, recognizing her as a powerful, independent woman who has carved her own path in the spotlight. As one fan put it simply but powerfully: “A whole Queen.”
