South African artist MaWhoo recently expressed her frustration over the poor treatment she and her cousin received at Life Fourways Private Hospital. She took to social media to share her experience, highlighting what she felt was discrimination in how patients were treated.

## Disappointing Service at a Private Hospital

MaWhoo described the hospital’s service as extremely poor, stating that patients were treated with a lack of respect and care. She recounted feeling humiliated by the staff’s attitude and behavior.

“LIFE FOURWAYS HOSPITAL service is very poor; they treat people like dogs. I’ve never been embarrassed like that,” she shared. She also noted that this was not the first time she had witnessed such treatment at the hospital.

## Delayed Assistance for Her Sick Cousin

According to MaWhoo, her cousin was in a critical condition, struggling to breathe, yet the hospital staff showed little urgency in assisting her. Instead, they allegedly ignored her cousin and prioritized a white couple who arrived after them.https://www.facebook.com/100063808052425/posts/1108334991303426/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v

“My cousin is very sick; she can barely breathe. But instead, they are rude and ignore us while entertaining a white couple who came after her,” she wrote.

She expressed shock at the situation, as she had expected a private hospital to provide fast and efficient service. However, when she and her family requested immediate help, the staff reportedly responded with indifference.

“When we told them we needed help, they asked where we were rushing. Some people are so disrespectful,” she added.

## Claims of Racial Discrimination

MaWhoo further stated that she believes the hospital prioritizes white patients over black patients.

“The only people they prioritize are white people,” she claimed.

Her post sparked conversations online, with many people sharing their own experiences with poor service at private hospitals.

## A Call for Better Healthcare Service

MaWhoo ended her message by saying she wouldn’t wish such an experience on anyone. Her statement raises concerns about the treatment of patients in South Africa’s healthcare system, particularly in private institutions where service is expected to be of a high standard.

While the hospital has not publicly responded to her allegations, her story has drawn significant attention, with many calling for accountability and better patient care.
