A mother from Johannesburg is desperately seeking help for her 2-month-old baby who is experiencing a rare and alarming health condition. Nqobile, the mother, is emotionally distressed and turning to the public for support after exhausting all available options through doctors and hospitals with no answers or relief.
According to Nqobile, the baby’s condition began subtly, with swelling around the eyes. Initially, she thought it might be a minor infection or irritation. However, the situation quickly escalated. To her horror, the baby began crying blood — a terrifying sight that left her shocked and confused.
“I noticed my baby’s eyes were swollen, and I thought it was something small. But after a few days, when she cried, I saw blood coming out,” Nqobile said. “As a mother, I was devastated. I didn’t know what was happening, and I still don’t.”
Nqobile did not waste time seeking medical assistance. She visited several clinics, consulted doctors, and even went to hospitals in hopes of getting a diagnosis and treatment. However, she claims that all her efforts were in vain. The healthcare professionals were either unable to diagnose the issue or simply did not provide the assistance she needed.
“The doctors tried, but they didn’t give me answers. I kept being referred to different places, and still, nothing helped. My baby is still suffering, and I feel helpless,” she added.
Her situation has caught the attention of many in the community, as the image of a baby crying blood is not only deeply disturbing but also raises questions about the adequacy of support and resources for people dealing with rare health conditions — especially for those who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Now, with nowhere else to turn, Nqobile is appealing to the public. She is asking anyone with medical knowledge, connections to specialists, or the ability to help in any way to come forward. Her hope is that someone, somewhere, will be able to assist in saving her baby’s life or at least identifying what is wrong.
“If there’s anyone out there who can help me, please, I’m begging you. My baby is in pain, and I can’t bear to watch this anymore,” she said with tears in her eyes.
The emotional toll on Nqobile has been immense. As a young mother, facing such a traumatic experience without proper medical guidance or emotional support has been overwhelming. She hopes that by sharing her story, someone will come forward — whether it’s a medical expert, a social worker, or even a compassionate person willing to help connect her to the right resources.
Anyone who can assist or provide support is encouraged to reach out. Time is critical, and Nqobile’s plea is a powerful reminder of how urgent access to proper healthcare and compassionate support truly is.
