Reality TV star Mpiloenhle “Mpilo” Mseleku, daughter of renowned South African polygamist Musa Mseleku, is stepping into a new phase of her life. Known for her appearances on the hit reality shows *Uthando Nes’thembu* and *Izingane Zes’thembu*, the 21-year-old is now exploring a new career path far from the glitz and cameras.
After recently completing her Bachelor of Social Sciences in Politics and History at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) in 2024, Mpilo made it clear that staying idle at home was never part of her plan. “I hate being at home doing nothing,” she said candidly in an interview with *Daily Sun*. “I was applying for different things because I didn’t want to just sit around after school. I’m thankful for the opportunity to work and gain experience.”
She has now started a car sales internship at Halfway Omoda & Jaecoo in Port Shepstone, located on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast. This marks a significant shift from her academic and media background, but Mpilo is embracing the challenge. “It’s always been fascinating to understand how the process of selling cars works from the ground up. I’m grateful for this chance to do something productive with my life,” she added.
Despite her current role in sales, Mpilo still harbors a deep love for history. Her passion led her to pursue a degree focused on historical and political studies. She explained that while history is her first love, politics was a natural second choice because of their close connection. However, Mpilo is open to new experiences and opportunities. “I don’t want to limit myself,” she said. “I’m open to anything that keeps me active and away from just sitting at home.”
Currently waiting for her official graduation ceremony, Mpilo is balancing her new internship with anticipation for the next season of *Izingane Zes’thembu*. She teased viewers about what to expect in the upcoming episodes. “Of course, there’s always drama when it comes to family,” she said with a smile. “But viewers will see a more mature side of me this time around. Something amazing is coming—stay tuned.”
With her dynamic personality, academic background, and now hands-on work experience, Mpilo is carving her own path and proving she is more than just a reality TV star. She is a young woman determined to grow, explore, and define success on her own terms.
