The world of House of Zwide is shaken as Nkosi Zwide, once the epitome of charm, power, and ambition, takes a painful exit following the devastating death of his wife, Shoki. Her tragic passing in a car accident has left Nkosi shattered — emotionally broken and drowning in a mix of guilt, grief, and rage.
A Man Haunted by Guilt
Although police reports have ruled out any mechanical fault in the car crash, Nkosi refuses to believe it was an accident. The guilt of losing Shoki eats away at him, and he begins spiraling into a dark place. He starts drinking heavily, hiding whiskey bottles in his bedroom. When Faith discovers the bottles, she quietly tells Msizi, but they both choose not to confront him — fearing any interference might push him further over the edge. Sadly, the damage is already taking root.
Emotional Outbursts and Conflict
Nkosi’s grief soon explodes into public outbursts. In a drunken rage, he barges into the House of Zwide fashion workshop and lashes out at Ona, cruelly accusing her of using Shoki’s death to elevate her fashion career. He demands the upcoming fashion show be cancelled, but Faith and Ona press on with the show, hoping to honour Shoki’s memory instead.
When Nkosi finds out, he is devastated and feels betrayed by the very people closest to him.
Public Backlash and a Dangerous Spiral
Things get worse when viral photos of Nkosi partying with Palesa surface online, sparking outrage among fans and the media. Ona confronts him once again, calling out his hypocrisy. This confrontation triggers yet another emotional breakdown.
In a disturbing moment at a hotel, Nkosi harms himself in front of Palesa, accusing her of being yet another person trying to control him. His actions highlight just how deeply he has fallen into despair.
A Shocking Scene at Ona’s Big Moment
At Ona’s prestigious award ceremony, Nkosi crashes the event, grabs the microphone, and publicly accuses her of exploiting Shoki’s death. The scene shocks the entire audience. Security and family rush to remove him from the stage.
Later that night, in an emotional climax, Nkosi climbs onto a rooftop, ready to take his own life. Faith, Msizi, and Ona rush to his side, pleading with him to step back. With raw, honest words, Ona reminds him that Shoki wouldn’t want this — that her death was not his fault.
It’s a breakthrough moment. For the first time, Nkosi allows himself to feel without blaming himself.
Nkosi’s Departure — A New Beginning?
Following the harrowing events, Nkosi decides to take a step back from everything — including House of Zwide. He travels to KwaZulu-Natal with Faith to begin a journey of healing. Faith and Ona inform the House of Zwide team that Nkosi will be taking an indefinite leave.
But the burning question remains: Is this goodbye forever? Or will Nkosi Zwide rise again from the ashes?
