Renowned dancer and reality TV personality Mixon Tsekeleke Tholo, well known in Mabopane, Tshwane, has been arrested in connection with an assault charge. The 40-year-old entertainer is accused of assaulting his niece, Neo Tholo.
According to Gauteng police spokeswoman Captain Tintswalo Sibeko, a case of assault with grievous bodily harm (GBH) was registered. The arrest took place on 10 September 2025, and Tsekeleke appeared in the Pretoria North Magistrates Court on 11 September.
Neo Tholo took to TikTok to reveal she was the one who opened the case. She voiced her frustration over what she says are long-standing allegations and insults dripping with disrespect. “They keep saying I’m a witch. If he killed me, who were you going to call a witch? I’m standing up for myself this time. Yes, they did well by arresting him,” she declared.

Further speaking out, Neo didn’t hold back in criticizing her uncle’s behavior. She also addressed accusations he leveled against her—claims that she had improperly taken money or phones. Neo challenged him to provide evidence or take legal action if those accusations were true. “They must sue me or arrest me for taking his phones, they claim I took,” she said. She expressed relief and satisfaction that the authorities had acted: “This is the kind of news I like.”
When Daily Sun attempted to get additional comment, Neo declined further discussion and hung up upon follow-up questions.
The tension between Tsekeleke and Neo has been publicly visible for awhile. The two have had several disputes, often shared over social media, and some observers had assumed these were jokes or publicity. Part of the discord centers around claims by Tsekeleke that Neo and other family members opposed his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, known as “Black Cat Girl.”
At the time this report was published, Tsekeleke remains in custody, awaiting further proceedings and possibly more testimony from his niece. The case has generated chatter both within family circles and online, where many are weighing in on who is in the right.
