The funeral of popular DJ and producer, Tsitso, whose real name was Daniel Rametsi Tladi, was held on Saturday, 4 January 2025. Family, friends, and fans gathered at his home in Atteridgeville, Tshwane, before proceeding to the Mbolekwa Sports Hall for the service. The 37-year-old was tragically shot on 20 December 2024 and succumbed to his injuries on 29 December.

Despite his stubbornness, which sometimes posed challenges, Mashiane acknowledged it as a testament to how much he valued his relationships. “We had big plans, but he left us too soon,” she said tearfully.

## Lessons from a Complex Life

Tsitso’s journey wasn’t without its struggles. His obituary acknowledged that he had been tempted into activities that his family disapproved of. However, music became his salvation and a source of inspiration for many. Former ward councillor Thabang Magodielo urged mourners not to judge him. “He was a father who wanted to shield his children from the hardships he experienced. He was a hustler and a fighter,” Magodielo said.
