South African content creator Thato Joseph Mashifane, popularly known as Sis Maria, has turned to his followers for financial assistance to prevent his car from being repossessed. The social media personality is seeking donations to settle three months’ worth of outstanding payments.

Sis Maria took to social media to appeal for help, revealing that he needs R26,000 to cover the arrears, collection fees, and storage costs. Failure to make the payment by April 5 could result in the repossession and subsequent auctioning of the vehicle.

A Desperate Plea for Help

In his heartfelt post, Sis Maria shared that he had attempted to seek assistance from a company he collaborates with, but they had not yet responded to his request.

“I did not post when I bought the car because I don’t like sharing such things on social media. But today, I have no choice because I am at risk of losing it due to non-payment for three months,” he explained.

He further disclosed that while his total remaining balance is R93,000, he only requires R26,000 to reclaim the car and resume his monthly payments.

Sharing Banking Details for Donations

To facilitate donations, Sis Maria provided his banking details and personal contact information for those willing to assist or who had questions regarding the situation. However, it appears that the original post has since been deleted from his social media accounts.

Despite the removal, many of his followers expressed sympathy and support, with some urging others to contribute while others suggested alternative ways for him to raise funds.

As the deadline approaches, it remains to be seen whether Sis Maria will manage to secure the necessary amount to keep his car.
