Wiseman Sithole was a beloved figure in South African television, widely recognized for his gripping portrayal of Lucky Mabande—a ruthless and cunning soccer agent—in the popular e.tv drama series Shooting Stars, which aired from 2007 to 2010. His role as Mabande earned him critical acclaim and cemented his place in local TV history as a master of villainous roles.

Beyond Shooting Stars, Sithole also showcased his versatile acting talent in various local productions. He appeared in kykNET’s Projek Dina and the SABC 2 political drama 90 Plein Street, where he continued to impress audiences with his powerful performances. Most recently, he portrayed the character Xolani Makeba in the 2023 kykNET drama Straat, further highlighting his enduring presence in the industry.

At the time of his passing, Sithole was preparing to perform at the Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees, a prominent arts and culture festival scheduled to take place from 11 to 19 October 2025. His anticipated participation at the event underscored his continued passion and dedication to his craft.
