Tirelo Kale, partner to Mpumelelo Mseleku and mother of his child, recently opened up about her emotional struggles and personal journey on the upcoming season of Izingane Zes’thembu. The reality show, a spin-off of Uthando Nes’thembu, offers an intimate glimpse into the lives of the older Mseleku siblings, and this season promises deeper personal revelations — especially from Kale.

In a candid interview with Independent Media Lifestyle, Kale revealed that the breakdown of her relationship with Mpumelelo caught her completely off guard. “I honestly didn’t see the cracks forming in our relationship,” she shared. “It really seemed solid until it wasn’t. The betrayal … wow, I genuinely didn’t expect it.”

The emotional fallout from this unexpected heartbreak has ushered in a period of deep self-reflection and growth for Kale. She described this new chapter as a necessary turning point in her life. “This season has been a journey of eye-opening experiences for me, especially to a lot of things that I turned a blind eye to,” she explained. “There’s going to be a lot of realising on my part.”

Despite the emotional turmoil, Kale’s top priority remains her son, Singabakho Mseleku. Her commitment to his well-being is unwavering. “My son is my priority, no matter the drama happening in my relationship with Mpumelelo. I make sure he feels loved and safe,” she emphasized.

Support from her own family and Mpumelelo’s mother has also played a crucial role in helping her stay grounded during this challenging time. These relationships have provided her with strength and a sense of stability, especially as she navigates the complexities of being connected to the Mseleku family.

However, when asked about her place within the Mseleku household, Kale admitted that she still feels like an outsider in some respects. “I wouldn’t say I’m part of the Mseleku family, but being around them and spending time with them, I can say it has been a unique and challenging experience for me. I’m still navigating that space. I believe building bonds takes time, and I’m learning as I go.”

Kale’s openness offers viewers a raw and heartfelt look into her life, highlighting her resilience and dedication as a young mother. Her willingness to share her journey of heartbreak and healing adds emotional depth to Izingane Zes’thembu, drawing attention to the very real challenges that come with love, motherhood, and personal growth.

Season 3 of Izingane Zes’thembu premieres on May 25 at 7 p.m. on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161). Fans can expect more intense moments, emotional revelations, and a closer look at the personal lives of the Mseleku children as they navigate adulthood, relationships, and their unique family dynamics.
