Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana midfielder Oswin Appollis has spoken publicly for the first time about the devastating loss of his close friend and fellow footballer Jayden Adams, admitting that the tragedy has been incredibly difficult to accept.

“Obviously, when I got the news, it was difficult,” Appollis said. “But I have to continue doing my job. I have a family to feed, so I have to keep working.”
