A quiet village in the Eastern Cape has been left in shock following the tragic deaths of five members of the Xolwana family, whose bodies were discovered at their ancestral home in Mfundisweni Administrative Area, Magqagqeni locality, near Flagstaff in the OR Tambo District.

Police responded to the scene at approximately 8:52 a.m. After entering the property, officers confirmed that an adult man, his wife, and their three children had all died from apparent gunshot wounds.
