An 18-year-old teenager has tragically lost his life after he was allegedly stabbed during a confrontation in Myakayaka village, outside Burgersdorp in the Greater Tzaneen area of Limpopo.
The victim, identified by his family as **Masilo Modebe**, was reportedly drawn into the confrontation after his brother allegedly discovered a man blocking his girlfriend near the Mashakheng Sports Ground. According to the family, the woman was allegedly being threatened with rape, prompting the family to intervene.
Masilo reportedly went to find out what was happening and confronted the man who was allegedly involved in the incident. What was meant to be an attempt to establish what had happened quickly turned tragic when the suspect allegedly produced a knife and attacked the teenager.
According to information provided by the family, Masilo was stabbed before the alleged attacker fled from the area.
Emergency services were reportedly called to the scene following the stabbing. Despite efforts to assist the teenager, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
