The search for Solomon, a Grade 12 learner from eLeshata in Orange Farm, has ended in heartbreaking tragedy after the teenager was reportedly found deceased at Sebokeng Mortuary.
Solomon was reported missing after leaving his family home on Saturday evening. According to information from those close to the family, the Grade 12 learner told his father that he was going to Extension 9 to visit his girlfriend.
He reportedly left home later that evening but never returned, leaving his family increasingly worried about his whereabouts.
The teenager’s disappearance also raised concern among his classmates. They reportedly did not know of the girlfriend Solomon had mentioned or have information about where he might have gone after leaving home.
As concern grew, the matter was reported to the police, who became involved in the search for the missing learner.
Solomon’s classmates were particularly alarmed by his disappearance because he was in Grade 12 and was currently writing preliminary examinations. Those who knew him reportedly found it unusual that he would miss an examination without explanation.
