The girlfriend of Victor Majola, who has been accused of allegedly orchestrating the murder of popular DJ Warras, has reportedly been arrested in connection with the case.
The woman has been identified as Hlengiwe Buthelezi. According to reports circulating about the investigation, Buthelezi had been wanted by police in connection with allegations of conspiracy to commit murder and murder following the death of the well-known DJ.
Her reported arrest marks another development in a case that has attracted significant public attention, particularly because of the allegations surrounding the events leading up to Warras’ death.

Majola has previously been identified in reports as a person allegedly linked to the planning of the killing. However, the allegations remain subject to the ongoing criminal investigation and legal proceedings. An arrest or accusation does not in itself mean that a person has been found guilty, and the accused remain entitled to due process.
Buthelezi’s name had also reportedly surfaced in discussions surrounding alleged WhatsApp conversations that circulated online. The messages were said to contain comments about Warras, with some of the participants allegedly making disparaging remarks about him.
One of the phrases reportedly referenced in the conversations questioned the courage of someone described using the word “shibhoshi”. The context and authenticity of the alleged messages have not been independently established, and the circulation of screenshots on social media does not by itself confirm who wrote them or whether they are genuine.
The latest reported arrest is therefore likely to be closely followed as investigators continue working to establish what happened before, during and after the DJ’s killing.
The case has generated widespread reaction from members of the public and those who knew Warras, with many people calling for the circumstances surrounding his death to be fully investigated.
As the investigation progresses, authorities are expected to gather further evidence and determine the respective roles, if any, of people linked to the case. Any evidence presented against the accused will ultimately have to be tested through the legal process.
For Warras’ supporters, the reported arrest represents another significant moment in their call for accountability. Many continue to remember the DJ for his work in the entertainment industry and have expressed their desire to see justice served.
The circumstances surrounding his death remain the subject of an active criminal case, and further developments are expected as the investigation and court proceedings continue.
